McBride Elementary School to present "Valentines for Veterans" | Military

Students at Fort Benning's McBride Elementary School will present a special "Valentines for Veterans" assembly at 1:30 Feb. 14 in the school's gymnasium.

More than 40 veterans from Columbus and Phenix City are expected to attend the event.  Each veteran will be accompanied to the assembly by two McBride students.

During the assembly, the McBride Chorus will present musical numbers from the 1940s. 

Students from McBride's Leadership Academy will serve as hosts for the event. 

Following the assembly, the students will present the veterans with valentines and have an opportunity to interact with them.
