FORT BENNING, GA - The Trees for Troops program will deliver more than 500 live Christmas trees to active duty Fort Benning Soldiers and their families Dec. 4.

While supplies last (limit one tree per family),  trees will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Wetherby Field to active duty Soldiers and Family members with a valid military identification card.

This is the eighth year Christmas tree growers and retailers nationwide have donated Christmas Trees for military families.

Since 2005, the program has delivered 103,186 trees to more than 60 U.S. military bases in the United States and overseas.  Since the program’s inception, FedEx has logged more than 352,000 miles for the Trees for Troops program.

Approximately 18,000 trees will be delivered to 62 military bases in the United States and overseas this year.
