Best selling author speaking at National Infantry Museum | Events
FORT BENNING, GA - The first Hughston Leadership Lecture Series event of 2013 will feature bestselling writer Patrick K. O’Donnell, author of Dog Company: The Rangers Who Accomplished D-Day’s Toughest Mission and Led the Way Across Europe
O’Donnell’s presentation, entitled “Leadership Lessons Learned,” will be presented Thursday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center.
O’Donnell, an expert on WWII espionage, special operations, and counter-insurgency, has written eight books on military history.
Dog Company has been the number-one selling book for publisher De Capo Press for seven weeks. The historian also founded The Drop Zone, the first online military oral history project and virtual museum (www.thedropzone.org).
O’Donnell captured many of his oral histories while serving as a volunteer combat historian in Iraq. Later, he served as a war correspondent for Men’s Journal and Fox News. He was a consultant on the award-winning miniseries Band of Brothers and for documentaries produced by the BBC, the History Channel and Fox News. He also served as a consultant for the Medal of Honor game franchise.
O’Donnell’s presentation is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
